Prior to Sunday’s game against the Ottawa Senators, the Chicago Blackhawks paid tribute to Patrick Kane and the 26-game point streak he was able to put together earlier this season.
The streak set a new franchise record for the ‘Hawks, and it was also the longest point streak by an American-born player.
Chicago’s GM, Stan Bowman, presented Kane with a gold puck and a frame after a video tribute was played on the big screen.
Here are some facts about the streak:
-It lasted 60 days.
-The ‘Hawks went 15-7-4 during the streak.
-Kane scored 16 goals and 24 assists over those 26 games.
-He scored 23 points at home and 17 points on the road.
-Kane picked up a point in 13 different cities.
