The Dallas Stars got some good news on Sunday, as winger Valeri Nichushkin is back after missing one game because of a lower-body injury.

The 20-year-old is back on Dallas’ second line with Jason Spezza and Patrick Sharp in their game against the Islanders.

Nichushkin has four goals and 13 points in 37 games this season. He comes into Sunday’s action without a goal in each of his last 11 contests.

With Nichushkin returning, the Stars made forward Patrick Eaves a healthy scratch.

The 31-year-old is having an underwhelming season (three goals and four points in 22 games), and he’s watched three of Dallas’ last five games from the press box.

The Stars are in the middle of a three-game east coast road trip, which started with an OT loss in New Jersey last night.
