Well, this game wasn’t boring.
In a league where goals are becoming increasingly rare, the Islanders and Stars proved that they could still fill the net.
New York topped Dallas by a score of 6-5, but after the game Stars coach Lindy Ruff stole the show with his comments regarding Jason Demers’ ejection for his hit on Cal Clutterbuck.

Not only did the Islanders score the go-ahead goal during Demers’ five-minute penalty, but Clutterbuck returned to the game and scored not one, but two goals.
The Islanders also got a strong performance from Kyle Okposo, who had two goals and an assist.
The Stars still sit atop the league standings, but they’ve struggled on the road lately.
The road has not been kind to the Stars lately. They are 1-3-3 in their past seven games away from home.

It’s also the first time all season that Dallas has lost back-to-back games.
Valeri Nichushkin, who missed yesterday’s game against New Jersey, was one of the bright sports for the Stars.
The 20-year-old broke out of an 11-game goalless drought by scoring twice on Sunday.
