Shane Doan made Arizona Coyotes history -- and against the Winnipeg Jets, of all teams -- on Thursday.
The 39-year-old Doan got the Coyotes on the board in the first period with a goal on a nifty passing play involving Max Domi, giving the Arizona captain his 380th career goal -- all with the same franchise.
He surpasses Dale Hawerchuk for the Coyotes - Jets (1979) franchise lead in goals, as per the NHL.
Doan began his career with the original Winnipeg Jets in 1995-96, before that franchise was moved to Phoenix.
.@NHL @ArizonaCoyotes Congrats to Shane Doan for passing former Jet Dale Hawerchuk, and setting a new Coyotes franchise record for goals.
