So, how about those Florida Panthers?
They’ve become an intriguing team in the Eastern Conference, and not just because several of their younger players, including Jonathan Huberdeau, Aaron Ekblad and Erik Gudbranson, weren’t even alive when the 43-year-old Jaromir Jagr made his NHL debut back in 1990.
Though, that’s certainly a reason, as is Jagr’s continuing production at his age. He has 11 goals and 26 points in 34 games and continues to make history and hit new career milestones.
Jagr scored the winning goal, Aleksander Barkov had a three-point night and 36-year-old goalie Roberto Luongo made 29 saves, as the Panthers defeated the struggling Montreal Canadiens by a final score of 3-1 on Tuesday.

Yes, that’s now seven straight wins for the Panthers.
They’re also now first in the Atlantic Division, a point clear of the Habs and two points better than the Boston Bruins.
“It’s a lot of fun," said Barkov, as per NHL.com. “We’re pretty confident. We know how to play the game and how to win the game.”
The seven consecutive victories are part of an overall impressive month of December for the Panthers, with 11 wins in 14 games.
