The Calgary Flames managed just 14 shots on goal and lost 1-0 to the Anaheim Ducks on Tuesday, as their winning streak on home ice ended at 11 games. Ducks’ forward Ryan Kesler added further insult when he shot the puck into a wide open Flames net well after the final buzzer sounded, sparking a melee at the end of the game (from the video above).
Zack Kassian was once despised in Edmonton, the city he was just traded to, for breaking the jaw of Sam Gagner with a high stick and appearing to mock him about it a few months later. Now, the Oilers must “welcome (Kassian) in with open arms.” (Edmonton Journal)
