Capitals forward Alex Ovechkin was forced to leave practice on Saturday morning after he “tweaked” something.
Before Capitals fans freak out, head coach Barry Trotz said the injury isn’t serious and the team fully expects him to play in Sunday’s game against the Rangers.
Ovechkin was "knicked up a little bit" at practice according to the team. He came off as a precaution. #CapitalsTalk

“He just go a little bit of a tweak so we got him off,” Trotz said after practice, per CSN. “I would say that he will definitely be playing tomorrow.”
The 30-year-old appeared to be fine in last night’s win against the Lightning.
He scored two goals (including this beauty) and two assists, while taking nine shots on goal and dishing out four hits in 19:08 of ice time.
