Video: Penguins’ Sheary scores first career NHL goal

Pittsburgh Penguins forward Conor Sheary scored his first NHL goal on Friday against the Boston Bruins.

The 23-year-old Sheary, playing in just his second NHL game, buried a pass from Sidney Crosby to give the Penguins a 1-0 lead in the first period.

The Penguins signed the five-foot-eight-inch Sheary this summer to a two-year contract as an undrafted free agent and following an impressive rookie season in the American Hockey League. He played his first NHL game on Wednesday.

The Pittsburgh celebration was short-lived, however. The Bruins tied the game 1:43 later.
