Blackhawks’ Crawford posts third shutout in four games in win over Oilers

With names like Jonathan Toews, Patrick Kane, Duncan Keith and Brent Seabrook on Chicago’s roster, it’s easy to overlook a guy like Corey Crawford.

The 30-year-old doesn’t always post the greatest numbers, but he does have two Stanley Cup championships to his name.

This season, Crawford seems to be a man on a mission.

He’s yet to lose back-to-back starts in 2015-16 and his recent run has been pretty impressive.

Crawford recorded consecutive shutouts over Winnipeg and Vancouver on Friday and Sunday before dropping a 3-0 decision to Colorado on Tuesday.

On Thursday, The ‘Hawks goalie bounced back in a big way, as he stopped all 33 shots he faced in a 4-0 win over the Edmonton Oilers.

“I feel good right now,” said Crawford, per the Chicago Sun-Times. “I’m really focused and I’m seeing the puck well throughout the whole game and getting a lot of help, too, from everyone. Especially tonight.”

Since Dec. 1, Crawford has started eight games and he’s allowed just 10 goals during that span.

The Blackhawks got goals from Jonathan Toews, Teuvo Teravainen (twice) and Artemi Panarin in the victory.
