The New York Rangers have been a bit of mess lately, but there is some good news on the horizon.
“I don’t think ribs have been the fun one for me thus far,” said Stepan. “There’s not much you can do for them and pretty much everything you do involves a muscle around the ribs. The first week and a half was not a lot of fun.”
Klein has been out since Dec. 2 with what’s being called an oblique injury.
“Obviously, I didn’t do much for the first 10 days, then I was on the bike and now I’ve been skating pretty hard,” said Klein. “I think the conditioning will come pretty quickly, it’s just the battle drills, making sure I can hold those guys down low.”
The news isn’t as good for defenseman Dan Girardi, as he won’t travel to Minnesota or Winnipeg for New York’s two-game road trip.
The Rangers need all the help they can get. They have a record of 2-3-2 in December.
