Video: Ryan O’Reilly scores OT winner while falling on his back

Ryan O’Reilly lifted the Buffalo Sabres to a 2-1 overtime victory over the L.A. Kings on Saturday, capping off the win with an absolutely gorgeous goal.

The Sabres snapped the Kings’ winning streak at six games. O’Reilly beat Kings’ goalie Jhonas Enroth with a wrist shot while falling to his back after attempting to drag the puck around sliding defenseman Alec Martinez. The stick of Martinez just clipped O’Reilly’s skate, causing him to lose his balance as he took the shot.

It’s also O’Reilly’s 100th career NHL goal. Not a bad way to achieve such a milestone.
