As the Colorado Avalanche look to move out of the Western Conference basement, they will be without Gabriel Landeskog when they play the Nashville Predators on Saturday.

Landeskog, 23, will miss his second consecutive game due to back spasms, according to the Denver Post.

“He’s skating this morning,” Colorado’s head coach Patrick Roy said, as per NHL.com. “He’s doing much better, but I think there is a good chance he will play [Sunday].”

In 26 games this season, Landeskog has 21 points. A Colorado win combined with a Calgary Flames regulation loss later in the evening would move the Avalanche out of last place in the conference.
