Michel Therrien is notorious for his line shuffling.
When things were going well at the beginning of the season, Montreal’s lines stayed intact, but now that the Canadiens have lost four in a row, it’s time to mix it up!
Since last Saturday, Canadiens sniper Max Pacioretty has played with two different centers, David Desharnais and Alex Galchenyuk, and it looks like he’ll be playing with another one when the Habs host Ottawa tonight.
Therrien is going back to what worked at the start of the year by putting Tomas Plekanec back with Pacioretty.

In Therrien’s defense, it seemed like there was no chemistry between Galchenyuk and Pacioretty, but is two games enough time to let them gel?
It’s also important to realize that the Canadiens have been decimated by injuries, as they’re without Brendan Gallagher, Devante Smith-Pelly, Torrey Mitchell and Carey Price.
Their huge lead in the Atlantic division is dwindling.
They’re three points ahead of Detroit and six points ahead of the Sens, who have a game in hand on Montreal.
