Video: Nolan shoves linesman following brief altercation with Malkin

L.A. Kings forward Jordan Nolan was caught on video replay shoving a linesman following a brief altercation with Pittsburgh Penguins forward Evgeni Malkin during a stoppage in play.

The incident occurred with 15:22 remaining in the third period of Friday’s game, which the Kings won 3-2 in a shootout. There was no call to Nolan on the play.

As per Rule 40.1 from the NHL rule book: “Any player who deliberately applies physical force in any manner against an official, in any manner attempts to injure an official, physically demeans, or deliberately applies physical force to an official solely for the purpose of getting free of such an official during or immediately following an altercation shall receive a game misconduct penalty.”
