There isn’t a ton of good news regarding big Florida Panthers forward Nick Bjugstad, but at least it sounds like he isn’t dealing with a concussion.
At least, that’s the belief, according to George Richards of the Miami Herald.
The latest on Bjugstad is that he’s out indefinitely with … whatever his upper-body injury is.
What, exactly indefinitely means most immediately is that is he’s in Florida and is not expected to travel with the Panthers for Saturday’s game against the Boston Bruins. So that basically cancels him out for the next two Panthers games (again).
It’s certainly a frustrating development for Bjugstad, as Florida must hope that he’ll really start to approach his prime at 23. He’s the sort of guy who may make the difference between the Panthers being a bubble team or a playoff entrant, but he has to get back into the lineup first.
