Patrick Kane’s point streak was on life support in Tuesday’s game against the Nashville Predators.
With 58 minutes gone in the game, Kane still hadn’t registered a point, but since the ‘Hawks were up 3-1, the Predators decided to pull goalie Pekka Rinne to try and get themselves back in the game.
Wouldn’t you know it, that decision paid off...for Patrick Kane!
The 27-year-old scored this long empty net goal to extend his point streak to 23 games:
The goal also allowed him to hit another milestone.

This wasn’t the first time Kane’s streak was almost snapped.
On Sunday, he collected an assist on Artemi Panarin’s empty net goal to extend the streak to 22 games:
And with under 30 seconds remaining in a game against the Ducks on Nov. 27, Kane picked up a secondary assist on Duncan Keith’s game-tying goal. That one extended the streak to 18 games.
