The Panthers will be without big forward Nick Bjugstad for “at least” two more games because of an upper-body injury, per the Sun Sentinel.

Bjugstad missed Tuesday’s win over St. Louis and he’ll be undergoing more tests to find out exactly how long he’ll be out.

Head coach Gerard Gallant confirmed that this injury has nothing to do with the back problems that kept him from playing in the final 10 games of the ’14-15 season.

The 23-year-old was believed to have suffered the injury during Monday’s practice, but Gallant mentioned that it was a lingering issue that had been bothering Bjudgstad for a while.

On a more positive note, it looks like Dmitry Kulikov will return to the Panthers’ lineup before the end of the week.

The 25-year-old missed each of Florida’s last seven games because of a knee injury, but the plan is for him to suit in Friday’s game against the Blue Jackets.
