Video: Brad Marchand hits for contact with baseball-style goal

Brad Marchand is known as a super-pest because he can actually back up with his (likely incessant) smack-talking with strong play.

That’s been especially evident lately, as he stretched his point streak to five games with a very, very impressive “home-run swing” goal on Monday.

It was a shorthanded goal that gave Boston a 1-0 lead, which they fattened to 2-0 as of this writing.

If Marchand doesn’t score again tonight, he still has a very good (and very “Marchand”) stat line so far this season: nine goals, six assists, 15 points and 35 penalty minutes.

In case you’re wondering, he’s not in a contract year, yet the Bruins could sign him to an extension starting next summer.
