No matter what happens regarding his trade-related future, Patrick Marleau will know this much: he scored at least 1,000 points as a member of the San Jose Sharks.
Marleau reached that milestone on Saturday, as he grabbed the secondary assist on a Brent Burns goal, which you can see in the video above.
That gave the Sharks a 1-0 lead against the Pittsburgh Penguins as they hope to stay hot during a so-far impressive road run.
With an assist in #SJSvsPIT, Patrick Marleau became the first player in @SanJoseSharks history to record 1,000 career points (462-538—1,000)

Patrick Marleau (No. 2) joins Joe Thornton (No. 1) & Marian Hossa (No. 12) as only players from 1997 #NHLDraft to reach 1,000 career points.

Update: Speaking of milestones, Daniel Sedin grabbed his 900th point by assisting on his twin’s goal.
Like Marleau, Sedin didn’t wait to add more, as a goal gives him 901 as of this writing.
