The Minnesota Wild got some good news on Saturday, as forward Zach Parise took part in the team’s practice for the first time since suffering a sprained MCL earlier this month.
According to the Minneapolis Star Tribune’s Michael Russo, Parise looked “rusty with his skating and stick-handling.”
The Wild won their first three games without him, but have since dropped three straight (0-2-1).
The Pioneer Press mentions that Parise could play against the Canucks on Wednesday if he’s a full-participant in Monday and Tuesday’s team practices.
On another positive note, Minnesota will have Jonas Brodin back when they take on Nashville on Saturday night.
The 22-year-old missed the team’s last game against Boston because of the stomach flu.
That’s a huge boost for a Wild team that will be without Marco Scandella, who suffered a lower-body injury in Tuesday’s loss to the Penguins.
As PHT mentioned yesterday, forward Jason Zucker will suit up after being slashed by Matt Beleskey earlier this week.
