The reigning NHL MVP is back.

On Friday, Carey Price will make his first start in three weeks when the Canadiens take on the Isles in Brooklyn.

Price, who’s been sidelined by injury since Oct. 29, will look to regain the form he showed over the first three weeks of the campaign, when he raced out to a perfect 7-0-0 start, eventually earning second star of the month honors for October.

For the Isles, Jaroslav Halak will get the call in goal.

Elsewhere...

-- Toronto will stick with the red-hot James Reimer against Carolina. Reimer, who’s taken firm hold of the No. 1 job based on his outstanding play, made 34 saves on 35 shots in his most recent outing, Tuesday’s 5-1 win over Colorado. The ‘Canes will start Cam Ward.

-- Pekka Rinne is likely for Nashville tonight, while Sergei Bobrovsky is likely for Columbus.

-- Looks like Jhonas Enroth will get to build upon his stellar numbers (3-0-0, 0.67 GAA, .979 save percentage) as the Kings appear primed to give Jonathan Quick a break in Detroit. The Wings will counter with Petr Mrazek.

-- Scott Darling gets to face the Flames again. Last Sunday, Chicago’s backup netminder allowed just one goal in a victory over Calgary, so he’ll go back in tonight, squaring off against Karri Ramo.

-- Devils backup Keith Kinkaid will get a rare start tonight in Edmonton -- he hasn’t played since beating Vancouver back on Nov. 8. For the Oilers, Anders Nilsson gets the call over Cam Talbot.
