Those who are obsessed with hockey fights could kill some serious time breaking people up into “divisions.”
Tonight provided a pretty good example. Vancouver Canucks defenseman Luca Sbisa put his superior size on display when he delivered a hard hit on rising Winnipeg Jets rookie Nikolaj Ehlers, which you can watch in the video above.
That didn’t sit well with the Jets, apparently, as Anthony Peluso didn’t need much goading to drop the gloves with Sbisa. What happened felt a bit like a middleweight tussling with a heavyweight.
Before game, Luca Sbisa: "I fought more early in my career just to show I'd do it. (But) I don’t like fighting. Why would you?"

We’re only one period into Canucks - Jets and there have already been plenty of testy, nasty moments.
The good news is that, at least at the moment, it appears as though Ehlers is OK.
Looks like Nikolaj Ehlers has returned to #NHLJets bench after getting some medical attention following the Sbisa hit

Sbisa may not be; he left the game in the second period and did not return.
