Malkin puts on a show; Penguins show some life

Remember all that business about Evgeni Malkin and the Pittsburgh Penguins being mad (or not?) at each other?

It looks like Malkin is going back to make opponents feel bad.

Malkin ended his goal-scoring slump in a big way tonight, finding the net twice in the second period against the Minnesota Wild.

By the end of that frame, the Wild indeed seemed a little irritated.

Malkin? Well, just ask the Penguins:

As you can see, Malkin’s first goal made Minnesota for a different reason.

Update: That gorgeous Malkin goal ended up being the game-winner, as the Penguins managed that 4-1 lead into a 4-3 win.

The Penguins ended a two-game skid and began a four-game homestand with this win while Minnesota has lost two in a row.

On the bright side for the Wild, they’ll enjoy a significant run of home games after ending this road trip against the Bruins in Boston on Thursday.
