Senators goalie Andrew Hammond (pictured) suffered an injury during a team practice on Sunday.
Hammond was shaken up after taking a shot off the mask, but it’s unclear if that’s the reason he’s back on the shelf.
With Hammond banged up, the Sens announced that they’ve recalled rookie Matt O’Connor from AHL Binghamton.

This is the second time Hammond’s been injured during a practice. He suffered a groin injury during a morning skate on Oct 1 and that one sidelined him for the first three games of the regular season.
O’Connor made his first NHL start on Oct. 11. He allowed three goals on 34 shots in a loss to the Montreal Canadiens.
