Mike Condon has been quite the story, but the reason people scream “small sample size” is that the NHL’s such a talent-packed league that a tough night can always be around the corner.
Tonight, Condon ran into Nathan MacKinnon and the Colorado Avalanche, and it was a difficult first period.
MacKinnon was the biggest headache, as he scored two goals just 13 seconds apart.

This gives MacKinnon 18 points in 17 games, and that’s assuming he doesn’t continue piling up goals or assists in the remaining two periods of Saturday’s game.
