The Columbus Blue Jackets picked up an impressive win over the Pittsburgh Penguins on Friday night and they did it without Brandon Dubinsky.

Dubinsky (upper body)was ruled out of the gamejust hours before puck drop. His absence forced the Jackets to play with 11 forwards and seven defensemen because they didn’t have enough time to call anyone up from the minors.

It’s unclear if Dubinsky will be able to play in tonight’s game against the Coyotes.

On Saturday morning, the team announced that they will be getting reinforcements from the farm, as they recalled Kerby Rychel from the AHL.

Rychel was Columbus’ first round pick, 19th overall, in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.

The 21-year-old suited up in one NHL game this season, but he’s spent the majority of his time in Lake Erie where he has four goals and 11 points in 10 games.
