Brayden Schenn might be tied for the team lead in goals, but that doesn’t mean he can’t be in coach Dave Hakstol’s doghouse.

“Things haven’t gone great over the last couple of games, so he’s just out for the night,” Hakstol told Philly.com.
Pierre-Edouard Bellemare, who was activated off the injured list earlier today, will take Schenn’s spot in the lineup.
The Flyers will also dress a pair of rookies in Saturday’s game against Carolina, as winger Taylor Leier will make his NHL debut and defenseman Shayne Gostisbehere will play in his first game of the season.
“He’s a real hard-working player, a tenacious player, and he’ll certainly bring some energy and some speed to our lineup,” Hakstol said of Leier. “And with Ghost coming in, I don’t want to paint him as a replacement for Mark Streit because that’s not fair. I just want Ghost to come in, do a good job, play sound, defensive two-way hockey and add a little bit offensively, because that’s what he does.”
Both players were recalled from the AHL because of injuries to Mark Streit and R.J. Umberger.
The Flyers are coming into this game having lost eight of their last nine contests.
