After losing yet another home game on Tuesday, the Jackets got more bad news on Wednesday.

Alexander Wennberg, the club’s first-round pick (14th overall) at the 2013 Draft, will miss the next two weeks of action with a foot injury, the club announced.

Wennberg, 21, was hurt during last night’s 5-3 loss to the Canucks, Columbus’ sixth defeat at Nationwide in six tries this season.

The Blue Jackets are the only team in the NHL without a win at home this year.

Wennberg has been in and out of the lineup this year, missing extended time earlier in the campaign with a concussion and lower-body injury. Last year he was out of the lineup with a hand infection.

He’s scored one goal while averaging 13:09 TOI per night in 10 games this season.
