The defending Stanley Cup champions came into Sunday’s game against the Oilers with just one win in their last five contests.
Often times, when a team is struggling, they turn to their best players to dig them out of the hole, and that’s exactly what the ‘Hawks did on Sunday.
Patrick Kane had a hand in all four of Chicago’s goals in a 4-2 win over Edmonton.
The ‘Hawks struck early, as Kane set up Artemi Panarin’s goal just 58 seconds into the game.
The assist extended Kane’s point streak to 10 games.
Panarin added another goal in the period to give Chicago a 2-0 advantage heading into the first intermission.
The Oilers finally got going in the second period. They fired 22 pucks at Corey Crawford in the middle frame, but he was able to keep each one out of the net.

Jordan Eberle finally solved Crawford early in the third period to cut Chicago’s lead in half.
That’s when Patrick Kane took over, again.
The 26-year-old scored the insurance marker to restore his team’s two-goal lead:
Andrej Sekera brought Edmonton to within one with under two minutes remaining, but Kane was up to his old tricks.
He picked up his third primary assist of the game on Artem Anisimov’s power play goal in the dying moments of the game.
Kane has 10 goals and 23 points in 15 games.
Patrick Kane now tied with Tyler Seguin for the league scoring lead with 23 points. Tied with Benn for goal lead with 10.
