The injury news isn’t good for Wild forward Zach Parise, who left Thursday’s game against Nashville with a lower-body injury.
The team announced that he suffered a sprained MCL and he will be evaluated on a weekly basis.

Parise was injured on this hit by Preds forward James Neal:
It’s a huge blow for the Wild, but considering how bad the injury looked in real-time, they may have dodged a bullet with the “week-to-week” diagnosis.
According to GM Chuck Fletcher, the team’s doctors had to force him to stay out after he suffered the injury.
Fletcher said #mnwild not only managing Parise's injury, "we're managing Zach." Drs forced him out the other night, he wants to play

The Wild will be cautious with their star forward because they’ll need him to be healthy down the stretch.
