After being a healthy scratch in Thursday’s game against the Calgary Flames, Sam Gagner will make his return to the lineup against Winnipeg.

He will be taking Vincent Lecavalier’s spot.

“Sam is going to go in and step in on the second power-play unit,” said Flyers coach Dave Hakstol. “He brings an element there. Beyond that, he has to go and play like the rest of our team.

CSN Philly’s Tim Panaccio believes that Lecavalier is being taken out of the lineup because of a costly mistake that led to Calgary’s first goal on Thursday.

Lecavalier sent a no-look pass back to the point that was scooped up by Flames forward Josh Jooris. You can watch the entire play here:

Gagner has two goals and five points in 10 games this season.
