The Blues head into tonight’s action sitting second in the division, three points back of first-place Dallas. Last night, they had their three-game winning streak snapped by the visiting Los Angeles Kings, who rode strong performances from Jhonas Enroth, Drew Doughty and Jeff Carter to a 3-0 victory.
The Blackhawks also played their last game against the Kings, but had a decidedly different outcome.
The offense didn’t just produce — it seemed to find its groove in the third period of Monday’s 4-2 win, scoring three times on Kings starter Jonathan Quick.
Head coach Joel Quenneville put together some new look lines — moving Artemi Panarin off the Patrick Kane–Artem Anisimov line, and skating him on the top unit with Jonathan Toews — and the shuffling seemed to pay off for everyone, as all of Chicago’s top-six forwards finished the game with at least one point.
As for the health statuses of both clubs…
