They have the 24th-ranked power play, and the 23rd-ranked penalty kill.

They are the Philadelphia Flyers, and their GM is concerned.

“There’s a lot of things that are not clicking right now for us,” Ron Hextall told the Daily News. “I think the special teams, we’re losing that battle. That’s a big one. That’s a huge one. Even if you tie that battle, it usually gives you a lot better chance to win. If you win it, obviously you have a good chance to win. That’s one that’s hurting us right now.”

The Flyers lost Friday in Buffalo, where their power play went 0-for-4 and the Sabres scored the winning goal with the man advantage. That’s what Hextall is talking about, right there.

No Flyer has more than two power-play points this season. Philly’s power play -- featuring weapons like Claude Giroux, Jakub Voracek, and Mark Streit -- was excellent last season, ranking third with a 23.4 percent success rate. But the PK struggled, finishing 27th (77.1%).

The Flyers kick off a four-game Canadian road trip tonight in Vancouver. The Canucks have the No. 2 PK, while their power play is 14th.
