Dustin Byfgulien may be facing a disciplinary hearing for his hit on Canadiens forward Brendan Gallagher.
The NHL’s Department of Player Safety hasn’t confirmed the news, but multiple reports around the league have mentioned that Byfgulien could be contacted in the near future.
No word yet from @NHLPlayerSafety but I imagine WPG's Dustin Byfuglien's hit on MTL's Brendan Gallagher last night will get a long look.

The Jets defenseman got a two-minute penalty for elbowing, even though it’s clear his elbow came up after contact was made.
Byfuglien is considered a repeat offender. He was suspended for four games for a crosscheck he delivered to Rangers forward J.T. Miller last April.
Update:
As of Monday morning, the NHL was still deciding whether to give Byfuglien a hearing. A decision one way or the other is expected later today.
