The Chicago Blackhawks have recalled forward Marko Dano from AHL Rockford, while sending down veteran forward Bryan Bickell.
Bickell, with a $4 million cap hit, has already cleared waivers. He has no points in seven games and played just 8:15 in Thursday’s loss in Winnipeg. The ‘Hawks will only be able to bury $950,000 of Bickell’s cap hit.
Dano gets the call after scoring one goal and six assists in nine games for Rockford. Acquired in the Brandon Saad trade, the 20-year-old failed to make the Blackhawks out of training camp.
Where Dano fits in Chicago’s lineup remains to be seen. The lines were already expected to be shuffled tonight at home to the Kings, thanks to the probable absence of Marian Hossa.
Marko Dano is here at the #Blackhawks morning skate.

Marian Hossa not skating this morning, so that questionable becomes a no for tonight, I would say. #Blackhawks
