Michael Frolik scored the game-winning goal with nine seconds remaining in the third period of Saturday’s eventful 5-4 victory over the Edmonton Oilers.

The goal was Frolik’s third of the game and it’s one that Oilers goalie Cam Talbot will see in his nightmares.

Unfortunately for Talbot, that was the second time Frolik and the Flames made him look bad this evening.

Talbot didn’t hide his feelings after the game:

Benoit Pouliot thought he cut Calgary’s two-goal lead in the second period, but it was waved off after a coach’s challenge.

The Oilers were able to bounce back from 3-1 and 4-2 deficits to tie the game at the 6:40 mark of the third.

Second-year forward Leon Draisaitl was a big reason why the Oilers were able to make the game close. He picked up a pair of assists on Edmonton’s first and third goals and he scored the fourth one. The 20-year-old has five points in two games since being called up from the AHL earlier this week.

The Flames will be thrilled to put an end to their four-game losing streak.
