So far tonight, it’s a matter of good news and bad news for the Edmonton Oilers.
Let’s start with the bad, like pulling a Band-Aid off quickly rather than slowly; Lauri Korpikoski may be injured after a borderline hit by Minnesota Wild defenseman Mathew Dumba.
Dumba didn’t receive a penalty for that check, but Eric Gryba was whistled for roughing in responding on behalf of “The Korpedo.”
You can see the hit in the video above. Dan Tencer discusses the hit:
Man, I dunno. He gets him in head with shoulder, but feet are planted and Korpikoski puts himself in such a bad spot pic.twitter.com/eWi9s3GxFA

That’s not great, but Connor McDavid still appears to be. He (and also Nail Yakupov) kept a point streak going with an assist on this Taylor Hall goal.
Update: More good news/bad news for the Oilers.
The bad: Minnesota won 4-3.
Good? Darnell Nurse’s first NHL goal was impressive.
