Brandon McMillan, who split last season between the Coyotes and Canucks, has joined Deutsche Eishockey Liga outfit ERC Ingolstadt, the club announced on Tuesday.

McMillan, 25, appeared in over 170 NHL contests with Anaheim, Arizona and Vancouver.

A third-round pick in ’08, his pro career got off to a good start in ’10-11 -- scoring 11 goals and 21 points in 60 games for the Ducks -- but he failed to replicate that success in subsequent seasons.

McMillan was standout for Canada at the ’10 World Juniors, scoring eight points in six games, helping the team win silver, and some thought reuniting with ex-WJC head coach Willie Desjardins in Vancouver would be a nice fit.

McMillan failed to make much of an impact, however, registering just one point in eight games.
