Connor McDavid is already making an argument that he’s a star.
Not a guy who’s doing well and came in with a lot of hype; McDavid seems like the real deal, right now. The Edmonton Oilers’ wunderkind is using his speed and skill to make opponents miserable, tonight included.
In the video above, you can see McDavid use his speed and shot to create havoc (and a rebound), helping Benoit Pouliot score a 1-0 goal against the Los Angeles Kings.
That assist gives McDavid nine points in as many games ... with plenty of time to add to that total tonight.
All of that production came during this latest streak:
Connor McDavid has a five-game points streak -- with 4g/4a during that stretch. Still plenty of time to add to it tonight, too.

He’s already turning heads. Just note what Kings head coach Darryl Sutter had to say:
This GIF from the Oilers captures McDavid’s burst in that Pouliot goal maybe better than the video itself:

McDavid still has to fight certain forces - fatigue in playing a long season, for one - but so far, so very, very good.
