The New York Islanders have come to terms with first-round draft pick Anthony Beauvillier on a three-year, entry-level contract.
The club made the announcement today.
Beauvillier is an 18-year-old forward who plays for Shawinigan in the QMJHL. He’s not the biggest guy at 5-foot-11 and 170 pounds, but he already has 15 points in seven games this season.
The Isles had two first-round picks in 2015. Beauvillier was taken 28th overall. Forward Mathew Barzal went 16th overall.
