Whenever Daniel Sedin decides to retire, he’ll be able to look back on an impressive career filled with many nice accomplishments.
Unfortunately for the Canucks winger, his blunder on Sunday night will also be remembered for the rest of time.
As you can see in the video at the top of the page, Daniel’s brother Henrik is stopped by Oilers goaltender Anders Nilsson. A rebound pops out in front of a wide open cage, but Daniel somehow fails to capitalize on the opportunity.
The miss ended up being costly, as it would have put Vancouver ahead in the third period.
The Canucks ended up losing the game in overtime.
