For those who think fighting in hockey is a thing of the past, guess again.
Sunday’s game between Los Angeles and Colorado saw not one, but two bouts.
The first was between Kings forward Jordan Nolan and Avalanche forward Jack Skille. After the referees sorted that one out, Colorado’s Cody McLeod and Los Angeles’ Andy Andreoff decided it was their turn to drop the gloves.
As soon as the second fight ended, the referees wasted no time giving both players matching five minute majors and a pair game misconducts.
