Couture hurt in Sharks practice, reportedly on crutches

And things were going so well for the San Jose Sharks.

Now this, per CSN Bay Area:

Logan Couture on Thursday suffered a lower body injury at the conclusion of Sharks practice at the Prudential Center in Newark, NJ.

He had to be helped off the ice and was reportedly seen leaving the facility on crutches with his right leg in a boot, according to a San Jose Mercury News report.

According to the team, Couture is being evaluated and no official update is expected on Thursday.

Couture has been centering an effective second line with Patrick Marleau and Joel Ward. He has one assist in three games, all San Jose wins.

The Sharks visit the Devils tomorrow, the Islanders Saturday and the Rangers Monday.
