NHL clubs are starting to see what the Jack Eichel hype’s all about.
Eichel, the No. 2 overall pick at this year’s draft, scored his second goal in three games to start his rookie campaign, giving the Sabres a (brief) 3-1 lead over the Blue Jackets in Columbus Day action on Monday.
Though it’s still early, Eichel has been as good as advertised through the first few games of his professional career. He played a whopping 21:58 in his NHL debut against Ottawa — scoring his first NHL marker in the process — and has been a constant presence in Buffalo’s last two contests as well.
