Drew LeBlanc is on his way to Augsburg.

LeBlanc, the 2013 Hobey Baker winner as the top player in NCAA hockey, has agreed to join the Augsburger Panther of Germany’s Deutsche Eishockey Liga, the club announced on Friday.

Signed by the Blackhawks shortly after becoming the first Hobey Baker winner in the history of St. Cloud State, LeBlanc made his NHL debut that same season and appeared in two games, going scoreless.

Since then, LeBlanc has played with Chicago’s AHL affiliate in Rockford. The ‘Hawks opted to not make him a qualifying offer this year, after he scored just four goals and six points in 41 games.
