TAMPA -- This will hopefully be the last biting post of the Stanley Cup Final.

If yesterday’s news -- that the NHL was done looking into Andrew Shaw’s alleged Game 1 chomp on Victor Hedman, and that Shaw wouldn’t face any supplemental discipline -- didn’t put the incident to bed, Hedman did today by deflecting three straight Shaw questions during media availability.

“I’m not going to comment on that anymore,” Hedman explained. “Things happen during games. I’ll leave it at that.”

The incident, again, in case you missed it:

Following the game, Hedman told reporters it “felt like” he’d been bit, adding he had a small bruise. The Bolts defenseman was also seen on video in the immediate aftermath of the scrum, appearing to tell an official he’d been bit.

As for the decision not to discipline Shaw for the action, Hedman once again brushed it off.

“It’s hockey,” he said.

UPDATE: Shaw was asked about the incident today.

“I’m not going to get into details,” he explained. “We’re here to focus on the next game, and, you know, hockey.”
