With less than a month to go to until free agency begins, it appears Minnesota Wild forward Kyle Brodziak could hit the open market.
Brodziak’s three-year, $8.49 million deal is set to expire on July 1.
“No, nothing yet,” Broziak’s agent, Allain Roy, told PHT of contract talks with the Wild. “Minny is still having their meetings. No talks yet.”
Asked if he believed his client could go to free agency, Roy replied, “I think there’s a chance, for sure.”
Brodziak has spent the past six seasons with the Wild.
The 30-year-old had nine goals and 20 points while averaging 13:03 in ice time in 73 games during the 2014-15 season.
