The first round of the playoffs will come to a conclusion tonight with Game 7 of the Detroit Red Wings’ series against the Tampa Bay Lightning. There’s been a lot of back-and-forth, but the one constant is that the Lightning have never taken the series lead. Home ice also hasn’t been much of an advantage for the Lightning as they’re 1-2 in those contests.
Will those two trends end tonight? Will 23-year-old goaltender Petr Mrazek be the difference? The Lightning have had some success against the Red Wings’ netminder, but Mrazek also has two shutouts in the playoffs.
This should be a great game and you can watch it on NBCSN or stream it online via NBC Sports Live Extra. The puck is set to drop at 7:30 p.m. ET, but you can tune in as early as 6:30 for pregame coverage.
