The Edmonton Oilers are expected to announce the hiring of Peter Chiarelli today.
According to hockey insider Bob McKenzie, Chiarelli is expected to oversee all hockey operations in Edmonton.
Details to come but there's expected to be significant change on both business/hockey operations in EDM. "Time for change" is today's theme.

The 50-year-old, who was fired by the Boston Bruins last week, has been in Edmonton this week meeting with Oilers CEO Bob Nicholson. The two have worked together previously with Hockey Canada.
There’s no word on any firings in Edmonton yet, but based on McKenzie’s report, it appears significant change could be coming as early as today.
