With Karri Ramo sidelined due to a lower body injury, the Calgary Flames have recalled Brad Thiessen from the American Hockey League’s Adirondack Flames.
Ramo left Saturday night’s 4-0 win over the Edmonton Oilers 58 seconds into the first period.
Ramo is listed as day-to-day.
Thiessen is 10-14-7 to go along with a 3.02 G.A.A. and a .905 save percentage in 32 games with Adirondack this season.
“It’s a fun time of the year. I’ve been following the #Flames and their run to the playoffs,” said Thiessen per The Calgary Herald’s Scott Cruickshank. “This is the week to be here.”
The 29-year-old signed with the Flames as a free agent last summer.
Calgary returns to action on Tuesday night when they play host to the Arizona Coyotes.
